Twin River owns nine casinos in five states: Rhode Island, Mississippi, Delaware, Missouri, and Colorado. And in a press release says, 'This acquisition further expands our geographic reach into yet another attractive market.'
In its press release, Delaware North says it's selling Jumer's so it can focus on other projects, including a new one in Calumet City, Illinois, and working on a tribal casino project in North Carolina.
Jumer's opened in downtown Rock Island in 1992, moved to its current land-based site in 2008, and was sold by the family to Delaware North in 2011.
